MEETINGS/WORKSHOP

AAFilmLab ‘Unfinished Works’ Thurs. May 5th

Posted: Saturday, April 23, 2011

This month, we have two scripts; Marcus Yi’s “Abstinence Adventurers” and Paul Epstein’s “Are You Thinking What I’m Thinking” that we will be workshopping with feedback for our “Unfinished Works.”  Join us in supporting our community by creating a safe space to give and receive honest feedback for eachother’s Unfinished Works!

Writer: Marcus Yi
Title: Abstinence Adventurers!
Synopsis: Mockumentary of a group of actors who are involved in a pro-abstinence school show that is marketed to high school teenagers. As we learn more about the lives behind the show we see the clash between the ideals and the reality of abstinence.

Writer: Paul Epstein
Title: Are You Thinking What I’m Thinking?
Synopsis: May is single; She won’t admit it but she’s desperate! She’s tried online dating but it all feels so dumb—like she’s ordering from a catalogue. And when she reveals her age, forget it, she might as well be a leper. Her co-worker Malik knows someone who can help: a “psychic dating guru” named Carmen. Willing to try anything, May schedules an appointment.

We may need a few readers. Breakdowns are not available at this time.
