This month, we have a webseries script by Natalie Kim and some new material by comedienne Jen Kwok that we will be workshopping with feedback for our “Unfinished Works.”
We may be needing some readers. Here is a breakdown of the roles:
Karin – Part of the super hero duo, The Supertwins, older sister to Kai. She is a gunner, a go getter and highly ambitious. She is the one who gets things done. Professionally she is successful but she lacks confidence in the dating area. She is crazy about George The Dissapearerer. She has the power of telekinetics and thinks that she is psychic.
Kai – Part of the Supertwins, younger brother to Karin. He is a slacker super hero. He does not want to be a super hero and would prefer to be a visual artist. He can not hold a job down to save his life. He is very good with the ladies and plays hockey. He has the power of multiplicity and holding very hot liquids in his mouth.
George – The Dissapearerer – Valiant, articulate, superficial and vain. He and Karin have just begun dating. George is very into appearances. George hates Kai and sees him as a liability. George likes Karin as long as she’s successful as a super hero. George’s power is the ability to make things disappear.
Sizzle – Karin’s super hero friend who has the ability to fry things with her eyes.
Rex Alexander – A high profile and powerful super hero agent. Rex is not a super hero himself, but he is a lawyer for a large conglomerate movie making/merchandising company. He is dashing, smooth and deal maker.
Newalt Geoff – A beginner agent for super heroes. He is not slick, his office is messy and it needs a redesign. He frustrates easily but has a heart of gold.

A Call For “Unfinished Works”
We are continuing going back to our roots with our original workshop format. It’s an opportunity for us to help challenge and improve each other’s work, grow as a filmmakers and strengthen the bonds between us. It’s a great way of progressing by problem solving while building community. So, if you have an unfinished work, please bring it in to workshop!
We are still seeking “Unfinished Works” to workshop including, but not limited to:
1. Screenplays
2. Films in pre/post production
3. Acting monologues
4. Storyboarding, art direction including set, lighting, costume designs, sound design (including music) and editing choices, a specific scene challenge…basically any thing that isn’t complete that you need an outside perspective on to help you complete your vision.
To submit an “Unfinished Work,” please email (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with “Unfinished Work” in the subject line, including a description of your project (including format, length, what stage it’s in, & your projected goals for it) as well as the feedback your are seeking.
Sincerely,
