Evelyn Liu comes from both sides of the camera. The UCLA grad worked as a NABET engineer at NBC where she also trained as an associate director to earn her DGA card. She then moved to New York City where continued to freelance as a broadcast engineer at CBS, ABC, Fox and JP Morgan Chase, working hard enough to also get into the electrical union IBEW. Despite a successful engineering career, she was encouraged to worked in front of the camera and finally stepped over to become a fitness model known for her defined abs and long 32” inseam legs. Ev booked modeling jobs in several mediums: billboard, runway, magazines and promos for Mercedes Benz, Pepsi, L’Oreal, AT&T, Nike and Mohegan Sun. She wanted a new challenge and got into Columbia grad school but wasn’t passionate about a career in business and finance. Risking a steady future, she walked away and spent a month surfing in Costa Rica where she contemplated her next move in life. She was drawn towards acting and came back to enroll in Mike Nichol’s New Actor’s Workshop where she built a strong foundation with their Technique, Voice, Movement and Improv courses. Other than her five union cards, she has her New York Real Estate license as well as her New York State notary license. Ev speaks Mandarin Chinese, French, African Language Pulaar and un poquito Espanol. Other than acting, she is a fitness buff and excels in a diverse range of sports from ice skating to skiing to shooting skeet and trap. She has recently booked an ongoing print job for an electric bicycle company. She is bi-coastal and resides in LA & NYC.
