MEETINGS/WORKSHOPIndustry Spotlight Discussion: On Acting w/ Casting Director Wayne Chang April 21stPosted: Wednesday, April 13, 2011The AAFilmLab has been providing programs for filmmakers, writers, and actors to share work and to learn together via Unfinished Works and Industry Spotlight workshops. Though we’ve yet to represent all fields in our workshops, we recognize that we also haven’t had the opportunity to just talk and have open dialogue to share our thoughts, experiences and resources in depth on any particular topic. To encourage more dialogue in our community, we are offering ‘Discussions’ to our Industry Spotlight program to give our community an informal forum for discussing industry related topics. The discussions can be open-discussions, or guest panels which will be lightly moderated and lead as to keep on topic, be inclusive and keep the discussion going. We’ll be starting Industry Spotlight Discussion with the focus on Actors on April 21st with Wayne Chang of Wayne Chang Casting, an independent casting director, as a guest. Please come out and support your fellow actors for a casual night of open discussion. Everyone is encouraged to bring a favorite fingerfood/beverage to share, and to express themselves and share their opinions. All levels of acting experience are welcome. Preliminary ‘Discussion Points’ On Acting: RSVP FOR ATTENDANCE & DISCUSSION POINT SUGGESTIONS: Please bring a favorite finger-food/beverage to share. AAFilmLab “Industry Spotlight Discussion: On Acting w/ Guest, Wayne Chang of Wayne Chang Casting” DATE: Thursday, April 21st. LOCATION: TIME: 6-8PM To offset costs of maintaining our services to our community, and in the aid of securing a permanent home for the AAFilmLab, we will be accepting donations. The suggested donation is $3.00 - $5.00. Thanks to everyone who came to our last “Unfinished Works.” Connect and reconnect with those you met at our previous meetings at our Facebook Profile Page and Facebook Event Invite: Past Events “Industry Spotlight” Workshop/Discussion Proposal Submissions: If you would like more information about doing a workshop or panel with us, please send your proposal, along with credentials to (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), subjectline “Industry Spotlight Submission.” Sincerely, Upcoming AAFilmLab Schedule (1st Thursday & 2nd Half of the Month): The AAFilmLab is a not-for-profit organization committed to challenging our membership to continually strive to be better.
