To use Brad Go’s music, all he asks is that you “like” his page in return.

“A picture is worth a thousand words”.
What a script doesn’t show you a storyboard shows you.
Invest 2 hours of your free time now and save many hours of your valuable production time later!

A storyboard is a tool to pre-visualize, communicate and inspire.
If you are a writer or a director, a storyboard shows you your film even before shooting starts.
If you are a DP, a gaffer, or an actor, who understands storyboard, a storyboard shows you what your director is talking about.
If you are a visual artist, your vision presents itself on a storyboard.

Remember Hitchcock!

The workshop breakdown:
1. Intro and History of Storyboards
2. Why storyboards are important for filmmakers
3. Basic Principles of Storyboards and tools needed
4. tools so anyone can do storyboards!
5. How to become a better storyboard artist

About Robert Castillo :
Award winning Director, Illustrator and Storyboard Artist Robert Castillo discovered his passion for art and illustration at the tender age of five.  Nicknamed “Sketch” Castillo would draw his way through his difficult transition of returning to the United States from the Dominican Republic .Robert honed his skills in illustration and traditional animation, at the Art Institute of Boston where he graduated with honors and was recognized with the Illustrator of the Year Award, in 2001.  He has given back by teaching in their pre-college animation program over the past two years.  As a storyboard artist, Robert has created boards for feature films including Precious which was nominated for an Oscar in 2010. Queen Latifah’s The Cookout, the Christopher Reeves directed animation Yankee Irving, award winning cable program The Sopranos, music videos for Alicia Keys, Ja Rule, Kid Rock, and Trick Daddy, commercials for Phat Farm, Adidas, And 1, as well as promo work for VH1, MTV, Spike TV and Court TV.  Robert’s talent has been recognized with various awards, and honors including The Scholastic Achievement Award in 1979.  He’s been privileged to create portraits of civil rights luminaries including a portrait of Malcolm X, for his daughter Attalah Shabazz and a portrait of Nelson Mandela, which hangs in Amherst College.  Robert’s Short Film S.P.I.C. won a Student Academy Award in 2004 and has screened at Cannes, The MOMA, Walt Disney Feature Animation and at TIME Magazine in New York.
