“Take Two” on Jan. 11th!

It’s the first Take Two of the year!

A unique all-Japanese program featuring an award-winning short film by Jeff Sousa about a Japanese theater company, followed by a play by Michael Feingold about a Japanese film director.

Afterward, join filmmaker Jeff Sousa and playwright Feingold for a discussion on the connection between theater and film in Japan, led by Kyoko Hirano, film curator of the Japan Society 1986-2004 and current adjunct and research fellow at the International Research Center for Japanese Studies in Kyoto.

A famous film director’s illustrious career is dissected through his two most famous movies, LOVE MOVIE and MONEY MOVIE, in Michael Feingold’s delightful romp through 50 years of Japanese cinematic styles.

With Nadia Gan, Marcus Ho, Carl Ka-Ho Li, Victoria Linchong, Kira Onodera, Andy Pang and Ian Wen.
