<title>LA Asian Pacific Film Fest May 10&#45;20: C3 PROJECT MARKET</title>
      <link>http://www.aafilmlab.org/index.php/weblog/la_asian_pacific_film_fest_may_10&#45;20_c3_project_market/</link>
<description>Though the deadline has past, this is something we should all know about for the future.

LA Asian Pacific Film Fest May 10&#45;20: C3 PROJECT MARKET

OVERVIEW
Visual Communications, the nation’s premier Asian Pacific American media arts center, is now accepting submissions for the First Annual Conference for Creative Content (C3) Project Market to be held during The Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, set for May 10 through May 20, 2012 at the Directors Guild of America, CGV Cinemas, and additional venues in the Los Angeles area.

The C3 Project Market is a unique opportunity for filmmakers of Asian descent to showcase their project to Financiers, Producers, Production Companies, Agents, Managers and Industry Executives enabling them with the contacts, information and confidence they need to make their film. Grantees will work in conjunction with Visual Communications to develop professional relationships and future collaborations throughout the film industry that include one&#45;on&#45;one meetings, panels and other events that take place during The Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.

The C3 Project Market seeks feature&#45;length narrative submissions from emerging and established Asian Pacific filmmakers. While a completed feature&#45;length script will help to determine the project’s merit, The C3 Project Market will accept submissions in any stage of development. Projects of any genre and budget range are welcome to apply.

AWARDS
Ten to twelve narrative filmmakers will be chosen for the C3 Project Market. In addition to participating in the panels, a pitch session with the Jury and one&#45;on&#45;one industry meetings, a cash prize of $5,000 will be awarded. This award will be determined by an esteemed panel of jurors and will be announced at the closing ceremonies of the Festival. Furthermore, Visual Communications will possibly award one Project inclusion to its Film Development Fund. This Fund will provide the Filmmaker with up to $100,000 towards the development of their project. Films that are completed through the C3 Project Market will have their U.S. West Coast Premiere at the annual Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.
